mELamiNe mANia!!!
Still, I don't understand why melamine is added to milk? When I research about melamine, melamine is usually a white powder used to make plastics. It is added to milk because melamine was rich with nitrogen, hehe.. It is most babies who was most affected by the contamination. Because one of the publishers of this milk with melamine was fed by them. It was also a new lesson for the mothers because still BREAST MILK IS THE BEST FOR BABIES.

10 party pound poopers!!
Make sure you can still slip comfortably into that school uniform of yours after the festive holiday vacation..!
Even if the holiday vacation was counting months and days. Here are some tips on how to be enough sexy even if you attend all gigs..
1.Drink a glass of water before party time.
Aside from keeping you hydrated, water also suppresses your appetite. But don't admit too much or else you'll feel bloated! Just drink enough to make you feel comfortably full before heading to the party.
2.Don't starve yourself.
Lots of girls starve themselves for the whole day just to fit in their cute and tight party outfits. Wrong move girls! No one would want to faint from hunger just when the action is getting started! (Besides, when you starve yourself, you usually ended up binge-eating later!) Eat full meals moderately throughout the day to give you mingling energy with friends at night. Also make sure that your outfits have enough room so you can be comfortable even after eating.
3.munch healthy before you make merry
To resist the temptation to munch on party pica-pica , which are usually chips and dips (high in sodium and fat) chomp on your own healthy appetizers at home. Take your pick from fruits and veggies! Carrot sticks and apple slices are not only nutritious, but also filling, and will keep you from pigging out at the party.
4.choose before you serve yourself
Survey everything before grabbing a plate so you will know what to get and avoid. That way, you won't be pressured to make on-the-spot decisions while you're moving along the buffet line. (it discourages takaw-tingin) Go for pesto pasta instead of that creamy carbonara. Or pile on those mixed veggies with a side of roast beef instead of the other way around! A buffet table offers a lot of choices, and it's up to you to mix and match so you will end up with a wholesome plate.
5.go for the better beverage
Avoid sodas, (high in calories) and go for fruit juices instead. But don't go overboard on the fruit punch because it might also contain loads of sugar! To quench your thirst, nothing beats plain and simple water, and if it's nowhere in sight (lots of parties don't include water in the drinks section), politely ask your host/hostess where you can get it.
6.think small
The lasagna looks really good, but resist the temptation to pile a huge chunk on your plate. Think about it: the roast chicken besides it looks just as yummy! Get small portions so you can have little of everything-even dessert!
7.space out your meals
The world isn't going to end tomorrow, so relax and eat at your own pace. Stop eating when you're full; don't wait until you're bursting at the seams. You can always go back to the buffet table after an hour of chitchat. It's easier to digest small meals peppered throughout the party than a huge one-time meal.
8.mingle bells!
Don't just it the whole time! get up and mingle. Being on the go not only does wonders for your social life but also for your figure. And don't hesitate when someone drags you into the dance floor-it's fun and it burns calories!
9.sleep in heavenly peace
Make sure that you get enough rest before and after a party. Sleep deprivation can mess up regular eating schedule. And can make you eat more than you usually do. Also, you need to sleep well to recharge for the next big party!
10.exercise
When your social calendar is empty, combat those party pounds through exercise. It doesn't have to be anything serious- just engage in some kind of activity like cleaning your room or walking the dog! Being busy will keep you from raiding the fridge and gaining pounds!

IRON-FORTIFIED RICE ? ? ! !
Iron is one of the most common deficient micronutrients in the human diet. Iron deficiency affects an estimated 2.9 million of Filipino children, 1 to 5 years old. This is based on the Sixth National Nutrition Survey in 2003 conducted by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (FNRI-DOST). Anemia, characterized by low hemoglobin, is the most widely-recognized symptom of iron deficiency. Other serious problems are impaired learning ability in children, increased susceptibility to infection and reduced work capacity among adults.
Since the Philippines has a so-called rice crisis,DOH(dept of health) introduced a new substitute for rice.Actually this was not a substitute, the iron-fortified rice makes every grain of rice be nutritious for a very low low price!!!
This iron-fortified rice can prevent malnutrition. It's like a medicine that is full of vitamins. So,let's wait for a month and see if there is a development happened.

SCHOOL OPENING!!!

For most, "back to school" season makes a very unforgettable experiences for many people: a fresh notebook, the carefully chosen first-day outfit, sizing up the teacher, seeing friends, meeting new friends, and figuring out where you stand in the new classroom pecking order.
For the first day of school, most teachers kick off the school year by introducing themselves and talking about all the stuff you'll be doing that year. Some teachers give students a chance to tell something about themselves to the rest of the class.
For moms, This is the most splendid time of the year, when summer loosens its hot, lazy hold and kids go back to school. The long, slow uncertainties of summer schedules are traded in for a regimen of book bags, assignment notebooks and PTA meetings.Like a student, mothers wake up early to wake their children,to prepare breakfast, and to bring their children to school. They also think for the most delicious recipes for their child.
Seeing friends you haven't seen in a while can make the first day a good one. You also can make the day feel special by wearing an outfit you like. Maybe you got a great T-shirt on vacation, or your new sneakers put a spring in your step. If you wear a uniform, you might wear a favorite watch or piece of jewelry to show your personal style.
Frankly, I've always hated it.I always look for beautiful reasons to make my mom attend "school orientation".
Here are a few final tips for a fantastic first day:
Get enough sleep.
Eat a healthy breakfast.
Try your best.
Develop good work habits, like writing down your assignments and turning in your homework on time.
Take your time with school work. If you don't understand something, ask the teacher.
Keep a sense of humor. One teacher we know shows his new students a picture of himself graduating high school - a grinning ape in a red graduation cap and gown. This usually makes the kids laugh, and it's a good way to remind them that school is fun!
